CENTRAL FORT BEND CHAMBER NAMES MELISSA TOON AS NEW PRESIDENT & CEO

Rosenberg, TX — December 3, 2025 — Following a nationwide search, the Central Fort Bend Chamber announces the appointment of Melissa Toon as its new President & Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Melissa will oversee the Chamber’s strategic direction, lead business advocacy initiatives, and guide programs that foster economic growth and support the success of the local business community.

Melissa is deeply rooted in the Fort Bend County and our business community. Prior to accepting this new role, she served as the Chamber’s Programs Director since 2024. Before joining the Chamber, she worked with Lamar CISD and she founded and served as Executive Director of Partners for Good, a Fort Bend County nonprofit dedicated to connecting community resources with local needs. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is currently enrolled in the U.S. Chamber’s Institute for Organization Management program. 

The Chamber’s Executive Search Committee voted unanimously to appoint Melissa Toon to this position. “We had a large pool of highly qualified candidates to consider for this position,” said Megan Crutcher, P.E., CFM, of Odyssey Engineering Group, Chair of the Board and co-chair of the CEO Selection Committee with incoming Chair Kyle Atchison of Frost Bank. “Melissa impressed us with her knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment to Central Fort Bend and to the Chamber. We believe she can lead the organization to new heights by enhancing our culture of service, strategic thinking, and innovation.”

Melissa expressed her appreciation and excitement for the role. “I’m deeply honored and humbled to step into this role, standing on the shoulders of the visionary leaders who have come before me,” she said. “My goal is to broaden the organization’s base and build on its strengths to make the Chamber even more effective in helping our community prosper. I look forward to working with our board, our team, and our members to strengthen partnerships, champion innovation, and build a future in Central Fort Bend where businesses, families, and individuals thrive for decades to come.”

In her new role, Melissa will be responsible for strengthening relationships with business members and community partners, executing the strategic plan, maintaining strong financial oversight, leading membership recruitment and retention, recruiting, developing, and managing staff and providing visionary leadership.

The Central Fort Bend Chamber represents more than 550 businesses and organizations, working to cultivate community connections, advocate for business, and facilitate growth.
